Seerauber Jenny are back with their second single, Avalanche, another straight out of the top drawer track which is released on March 7th through Faith & Hope Records.
Presenting a striking follow up to their debut single, Avalanche is another compelling and intensely layered slice of lo-fi melancholic pop music.
The B-Side, To Decide (We’ll Cast Lots) accompanies the release showing a dynamic side to the band’s creative musings, a beautifully crafted melody with heart-felt introspection.
Starting out with folk leanings, Avalanche soon builds into a splendid pop song through layers of electronica forging a haunting soundscape behind Fran Barker’s melancholy vocals, bringing to mind the mini melodramas of Arcade Fire, the haunted melodies of The Cure and the uplifting surges of Fleet Foxes.
