Murcof (aka Fernando Corona) and new Leaf Label signings Icy Demons have been confirmed to play this year’s Futuresonic Festival in Manchester.

Futuresonic Festival is the self-proclaimed “festival for digital culture” and hosts a range of art, music and conference events across 30 venues in Manchester from 13-16th May.

This is Fernando Corona’s first visit to these shores since last year’s highly successful Océano UK tour, and his show will be augmented by Bristol-based visual pioneers AntiVJ.

Also on this bill are performances by Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson with the Iskra quartet and Manchester’s own Denis Jones.

Murcof‘s fourth album proper, Océano, is currently scheduled for release later this year.

Revolving around Chicago music scene stalwart Griffin Rodriguez, Icy Demons will be playing as a four piece band. Miami Ice (their third album and first on Leaf) is released on May 4th and this show is part of the band’s first ever European tour.

This show will be headlined by Extra Life and Deaf To Van Gogh’s Ear complete the live line-up.
