At Night We Live, new album from Far
Post hardcore legends Far are about to release their first original material since 1998’s Water & Solutions, the new album At Night We Live is available from May 24th and will be preceded by the single Deafening a week earlier.
Far have provided inspiration and influence for an array of recent band’s including Biffy Clyro, Jimmy Eat World, Hundred Reasons, Funeral For A Friend and Thursday.
Most recently Far put out a low key limited edition single Pony, originally by American hip hop artist Ginuwine. What started as a bit of fun between friends, ended up with the track getting huge and unexpected radio airplay and over 4 million hits on the bands MySpace page.
Far’s fifth studio album was recorded at The Airport Studio. It was produced by guitarist Shaun Lopez whom during the band’s hiatus has recorded albums for Will Haven, Giant Drag and friends the Deftones (the title track of ‘At Night We Live’ was written for Deftones bassist Chi Cheng).

In a change of direction from 2008’s rockier, heavier ‘Capital’ (the final part to his acclaimed London Trilogy), with Love Is Not Rescue, Chris focuses more on personal themes of career choices, love and the complexities of relationships rather than overt political discord. Stripping back his sound and laying bare private lyrics over delicate melodies, “British pop’s street-poet laureate and unsung genius” (The Sunday Times) has produced a beautifully introspective and pensive album.
Chris T-T is a unique talent; a renowned and revered master of songwriting and lyrical genius with a career spanning over a decade. His satirical, wry and witty portrayal of the world around him has earned him critical and underground success so far – and with Love Is Not Rescue, the rest of the world is sure to wake up to this national musical treasure.
